Lowcountry Seafood Experiences on the Water

Two of the Lowcountry’s foremost watermen, Christopher and Matthew Shoemaker, a two hour excursion that includes instruction on shrimping, oystering, clamming, and crabbing. Christopher and Matthew will demonstrate the skills required to “put food on the table.” After the work is done, guests will enjoy the fruits of their labor at Hudson’s. Times might vary based on tide conditions.

Tickets are $55 per person and includes a complimentary soft drink or draft beer at the Hudson's on the Docks upon your return.

Chef Frank Lee shares his secret to one of the south’s most beloved dish, Shrimp & Grits. Don’t miss the opportunity to share the stories, recipes, experiences and passion for cooking!

Lee has been lauded in Food Arts, Food & Wine, The New York Times, Southern Living and The Washington Post, among scores of others. He has appeared on “ABC’s Good Morning America,” and has thrice served as guest chef at the James Beard House. His Maverick Grits earned a Golden Dish award from GQ Magazine, and he is featured on the “Great Chefs of the South” television series and its corresponding cookbook.

Inspired by a commitment to sustainable, delicious seafood and a healthy, wild ocean, the Festival is introducing the Blue Ribbon, Blue Ocean Series, kicking off with Matthew Beaudin, Executive Chef of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. 

Chef Beaudin will be serving up Tequila Clams with Chorizo, Cilantro, Crispy Red Dulse, Grilled Bread with Uni Butter. Ingredients will be sustainably sourced in Monterey and flown in for the class. He looks forward to leaving you with a piece of Monterey, some inspiration and a hunger for sustainable seafood.
